In Acts 18, we see a short transitional time in the life of Paul. He never stopped ministry but he did have a transition. Through the Lord's leading, and God's Word, the Mann family to Hungary is also going through a time of transition.
God's grace has allowed my family to serve the Hungarian people since 2014 when we first arrived. In this time, the Lord has enabled over half a million tracts, John and Romans, and other means of getting the gospel to the people of Hungary. We have not seen much fruit from these little witnesses for reasons that we can not see on this side of Heaven. Please ask God to use these tracts, and such to break the chains of darkness and that souls will be saved. One year ago, I began to sense a change in heart and attitude towards ministry in Hungary. Through months of the counsel from God's Word and leaders around me, I began to ask the Lord if our time was coming to an unexpected end. I brought my family to Hungary with the intent of spending my life here.
The Lord revealed several needs in my family that can not be satisfied in Hungary as a husband and father (educational, health, financial). My former pastor taught me that my ministry never rises higher, nor is it more important than my ministry to my family. For many reasons that could fill a book (such as homeschooling now being illegal in Hungary), I am writing to let you know as our friends, that we have left the field of Hungary. Our hearts are heavy with leaving Hungary, but we are trusting in the leadership of the Lord.
As for ministry, our race is not finished; the Lord has a unique but very much wanted and needed ministry that He is continuing to develop. Transitions are a challenge; all continued support and prayers will very much be appreciated. I understand that some churches will drop us simply because we left "the field" (Hungary), to them I say thank you. I also understand that some churches will need us to re-present our new ministry to the church. To these churches, please reach out to me via email jason@gothyway.org.
The Mann family is not quitting ministry but simply switching gears "for such a time as this". This new ministry is still being developed and details worked out. I have a plan, I have a purpose and I have a plea. I am asking for your patience. I look forward to the letter announcing our new ministry as the Lord continues to lead and we continue to follow. Some details, are beyond my control and I am waiting on the Lord to provide clear direction. I will present these new ministry details very soon.
From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU for your prayers and support. Not one of the over half-million passed out tracts could have happened without prayer and support. Your investment into the Mann family was and is an investment into the harvest of Hungarian souls. Please pray for salvations.
