MMMM-Christmas

Merry Christmas and Happy 2020 New Year!
What's New
Recently I went on a journey through the Word of God in 5 weeks reading and listening through the whole Bible. I wanted to share a few things that jumped out to me on this trip.
-God requires complete obedience
-God requires complete dependence.
-God requires the complete authority in our lives.
-God requires complete worship from us.
-God's love for us required a Saviour.
-God is in complete control.

Notice that it is all about a relationship to God and what he expects from us. I am thankful for a Saviour and creator that was humble while we were proud. Humbly born in rags of the manger so that we can wear robes of righteousness in Him. Praise the Lord and Happy Birthday Jesus. As we use this season to celebrate what He has done remember the millions of souls that have never heard or never read the Word of God. Please continue to pray for the thousands of gospel tracts that we have been passing out. May God get the praise he is worthy of. Merry Christmas!

Nov-Dec 2019

Dear Friends,

We have been busy about the Lord's work here in Hungary. I want to thank everyone that gives towards missions allowing us the ability to share the gospel with the Hungarians. Since arriving in the city of Szombathely last June, over 25,000 tracts have been handed out. I am also using Facebook ads that are reaching thousands of people throughout Hungary. This gives me a great opportunity to talk with individuals about the Bible and their personal need for a Saviour. I recently heard tracts referred to as "Little Preachers". Please pray that these little preachers will reach the hearts of the people.

I had a great conversation with a man named Attila. He asked me why I was in Hungary, opening the door for me to share the gospel with him. He expressed to me that he was Christian and his friend (who was nearby) was also Christian because they went to church as children and were good altar boys. I explained to him that Salvation is a free gift and cannot be earned. We talked for about 20 minutes, please pray that he will continue to seek truth and find Jesus.

I was refueling our car one day and had a conversation with the attendant about the importance of the truth of the Bible. He felt like only parts were true and other parts were fiction. The circumstances did not allow a detailed conversation, however, I pray that it sparks a desire in him to seek the truth. I shared the gospel with him, and because he was working, we parted ways.

Hungarians are taught by the priests as early as kindergarten to avoid non-catholic people and religious conversation. This is a huge barrier to talking with them and sharing God's word with them. Please pray for their hearts to be opened and the desire to seek truth to come.

Prayer Requests:

Pray for the 25,000 tracts passed out to be fruitful.

Pray for the health of my family.

Pray for good weather that allows us to be out more to share the gospel.

Pray for the salvation of the Hungarian people.

Pray for the Lord to continue to guide me as I seek Him.

Pray for spiritual wars that are present.

Pray for more workers to come to Hungary.

Pray for the hundreds of thousands of gospel literate that has been handed out in Hungary these past few years. Not just from my family but all the missionaries here.

Pray for the coming harvest!

MMMM

What's New
We have been enjoying the great weather here in Hungary. Staying in the upper 40's has given us the opportunity to get thousands of houses reached with the gospel. We continue to ask for prayers that people will respond to the invitation to receive Christ. This is the work of the Holy Spirit to use the truth of the scriptures to reach the hearts of the Hungarians.
Butter. I got to thinking about butter this morning. I love butter! I really love to put it in my coffee. Rich and creamy and oh so yummy! Spread it over hot fresh bread, or have it slide down the side of a big stack of pancakes. Yummy! The thing about butter is that when it is hard and cold, honestly it is pretty useless. Ever try to smear hard butter on toast and rip the bread? Cold butter is annoying. Butter, to be useful must be soft and tender.
This is just like the Christian in the hands of God. For God to use us we must be soft and tender. If we have a hard heart towards God and the things of God, then we are useless! What makes our heart cold and hard before God is sin in our lives. With sin in our lives, God can not use us. King David says this, Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me. With this right spirit and clean heart, we will see the great need for the Gospel to be preached and for all to SEND MEN.
